Food Plant Production Manager - Full-Time Position
Location: Warren, MI 48091

Food Plant Production Manager Summary:
This position is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of plant production to maximize both short-term and long-term profitability for the company.

Food Plant Production Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead production team to develop good working relationships and high morale
  • Perform administrative duties and ensure objectives are being met
  • Foster a work environment focused on employee safety, product quality, food safety, and positive employee relations
  • Communicate with team members on project timelines and immediate tasks
  • Promote positive community relationships through personal involvement and support of local programs
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety requirements, adhering to state and federal regulations
  • Develop and train team members, conduct safety meetings, and troubleshoot production issues
  • Compute quarterly figures, manage team grievances, and handle other responsibilities as needed
  • Act as acting plant manager in the absence of the plant manager

Food Plant Production Manager Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience managing within a manufacturing plant (food manufacturing preferred)
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of production processes, maintenance, shipping/receiving, sanitation, quality assurance, accounting, safety, human resources, and material management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with the SAP ERP system is a plus
    • Leadership and organizational skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours and provide guidance to a three-shift, 7-day operation

Travel: 0-10%
