Description
Job Duties:

1. Assists in preparing well-balanced, nutritious and appetizing meals.
2. Assists in ensuring quality of meals prepared, as well as, appropriate quantity based on program served.
3. Uses recommended sanitary precautions in food preparation and clean up.
4. Covers and stores all food products safely and appropriately when not in use.
5. Stores food in compliance with recommended procedures and disposes of expired products as necessary.
6. Rotate raw food to ensure minimal waste.
7. Assists in ensuring cleanliness of kitchen by following sanitary guidelines.
8. Completes all kitchen tasks as assigned on a daily basis.
9. Transports food following food transportation guidelines as assigned.
10. Assists in managing food inventory and supplies before running out of necessary items.
11. Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions, equipment needs, safety and cleanliness concerns to immediate supervisor.
12. Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
13. Maintains inventory records and determines supply needs.
14. Maintains records of daily menus.

Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:

15. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.

Support Duties:

16. Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.
17. Identifies and reports to supervisor in a timely manner any safety concern in the work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Requires previous food service experience (1 years) and prepping for multiple meals/day
Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities.
Requires satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site.
CPI recommended within the 30 days of employment.
Requires valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.
Requires completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Able to obtain ServSafe if needed.

Minimum Education
HS

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma/GED preferred, but not required

Licensure/Certification
Servsafe certification preferred, not required
