JOB SUMMARY The Payment Coordinators job is to ensure that all monies received are logged, deposited and posted daily to the Cash Control System of the General Ledger. Also, ensures that all pertinent documents received by the Business Office is scanned into the appropriate day folders or accounts.
Reports To: Business Office Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS High School graduate or equivalent
Two years experience in hospital or medical facility business office
Automated accounts receivable or Cash Management system experience preferred
Customer Service experience preferred
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE Office Environment
RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Log and balance all monies received via the mail, electronic fund transfers and over the counter.
2. Prepare bank deposits and balance to daily logs.
3. Enter all deposit information into the Cash Control System.
4. Balance all entries into the Cash Control System.
5. Scan and index all manual remittances received by the Facility.
6. Scan and index all correspondence received by the Facility.
7. Adhere to Cash Management Policies.
8. Additional duties as assigned include, answering telephones, assisting Pre-Reg, Billers/Collectors and Payment Poster as needed.
9. Comply with facility Standards of Behavior and complete all required education assignments within the designated timeline.
