Location : Houston, TX
Shift : Monday – Friday 8 :00 a.m. - 5 :00 p.m.
We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Public Health Educator who will take charge of the development of culturally and linguistically appropriate health education material/classes related to chronic and infectious diseases.
What you will be doing :
- Development of culturally and linguistically appropriate health education material/classes related to chronic and infectious diseases.
- Engage in community engagement and outreach.
- Create health education content in one on one and/or group settings on topics such as Monkeypox (MPOX) or chronic disease.
What is Require d :
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Behavioral Science, or a closely related field such as Public Health.
- Two years of experience in Public Health, Education or a closely related field are required
- A Master's Degree in Education, Behavioral Science, or closely related field such as Public Health may be substituted for the above requirements.
- Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Must be Bilingual English/Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin.)
- Must have valid Texas Driver’s License and comply with AP 2-2 policy.
- The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional very light lifting, such as three or four reams of papers or books (up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight) may be required.
