Responsibilities:
  • Run shop equipment as needed including floor scrubber and steam cleaner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and perform all tasks in a safe manner.
  • Assist in keeping our diesel shop a clean and safe environment for all employees
  • Use good judgment and accept ownership for accomplishing new & different requests & exploring value added opportunities.
  • Prompt daily attendance on scheduled work days.
  • Must be able to assist in other duties as assigned throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements, Education and Experience

Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills : Must have basic computer skills. Mechanical aptitude. Forklift certified (or willing to become certified with training provided). Must be professional and safety minded at all times. Must be able to effectively work both independently as well as part of a team.

Other : Must have valid drivers license and be insurable.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Physical : (These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.) Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers. Standing most of the time on concrete floor. Repetitive movements. Ability to lift, push or pull, objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 75 pounds).

Environmental : Primarily indoor in a shop environment with some outdoor work. High noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Coveralls, ear and eye protection provided.

Hours : Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Compensation: $18.00 to $20.00, per hour.
