We are seeking an experienced and qualified professional small engine mechanic to join our Fleet Management Team. We are one of the most respected residential landscape design-build companies in the Washington, DC region. Experience Requirements: - Minimum 3-years of small engine mechanical experience
- Expert level of diagnostics
- Possess a clean driving record
- Must be able to get DOT Medical Certification
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Responsibilities: - Preventive maintenance of equipment
- Small engine & mower repair
- Proficient with 12v electrical repair and diag
- Maintains a presentable appearance for the small engine shop
- Keeps inventory of shop supplies, tools, parts, and equipment
- Performs routine inspections to ensure quality
- Assists with getting crews out in the morning and throughout the day, loading trucks, taking deliveries, etc.
- Provides stable Technical communication with UM shop manager
- Availability during snow events, as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to work well independently, as well as, within a team
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow directions - written and/or verbal
- Time management and organizational skills
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Able to work Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, or as advised by supervision
Compensation: - Salary $25-$30 per hour
- Opportunity for advancement to Salary after 6-months
