Who We Are:

About Cedar Stars Academy: Founded in 2011, Cedar Stars Academy began as a youth soccer club focused on providing the very best coaching, training and facilities to athletes in Northern New Jersey. Today, with more than 2,000 male and female athletes, Cedar Stars Academy currently has five branches throughout the Northeast coast of the U.S. Cedar Stars Academy-Bergen & Cedar Stars Academy-Monmouth both have Boys MLS Next U13-U19 and Girls Academy League U13-U19. These are both recognized as one of the top platforms for player development and competition. Cedar Stars Academy also has three semi-professional teams USL 2 & NPSL on the men’s side and the W-League on the women’s side.

What We Are Looking For:

Cedar Stars Academy Soccer Club with divisions in New Jersey are looking for youth soccer coaches with a passion for soccer and experience with youth soccer. Youth soccer coaches are responsible for coaching and developing teams and players at Cedar Stars Academy.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The team coach is responsible for coaching the team in consultation with the Academy Director of Coaching and in accordance with the Cedar Stars Academy vision, values and philosophy
• Responsible for the management and coaching of the team during the training sessions and games. Coordinates and prepares aspects of the Player Pathway model.
• Develop and prepare the players for the transition to progress in the academy system and international teams.
• Empowers the players to become a part of their own development program and make decisions regarding to it.
• Develop a positive relationship with the parents and be available to provide feedback to parents throughout the season regarding the performance of the child.
• Responsible for leading training sessions and coaching games for the assigned team(s).
• Candidate should be open to perform a demo session on the field with the Cedar Stars Academy players as part of their interview process

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over the age of 18
• Minimum USSF 'D' or equivalent coaching license
• Coaching experience with youth players or previous playing experience
• Applicants to hold a full driver's license and have reliable means of transport.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Good team player
